The serpents head and tail have also been delicately engraved and set with pink ruby eyes, with Birmingham hallmarks on the back, dating the piece to 1994. Egyptian inspired snake jewellery enjoyed a revival in the 20th century after discoveries such as Tutankhamuns tomb ignited fascination across Europe.
